How Ayurveda Can Solve Your Acne Issues?

The popularity of Ayurveda is because of its two major features- simplicity, and practicality. The practice aims at putting the body back into balance by using completely natural ways like herbal blends and lifestyle modifications for almost all medical conditions.

One widely known and experienced condition is the skin problem of acne and pimples, especially in the growing years of adolescence. Eruption of blackheads, whiteheads, pus filled vesicles, cysts, and scars associated with pain and itching are common. Talking of the cause, Acne vulgaris occurs as a result of inflammation of pilosebaceous bodies (hair follicle and oil secreting glands). The inflammation could be because of numerous reasons:

  • Abnormally high secretion of oil by the sebaceous glands.

  • Use of steroids or certain oral contraceptives.

  • Chemicals or cosmetics blocking of the pores.

  • Bacterial or other microbial infection.

  • Psychological factors like, stress, anxiety, anger.

But, Ayurveda has solved this problem too!

Purodil is a clinically approved, one-stop herbal therapeutic drug designed to address and manage all inflammatory skin disorders comprising acne, pimples, boils, skin allergies, urticaria, etc. Purodil gel is enriched with a novel formula of α- mangostin, a phytoconstituent from Garcinia mangostana, which makes it an effective skincare agent. The dual therapy acts both systemically (internally) as well as locally (externally), exerting potential antibacterial action, with no side effects.

The herbs present in Purodil have anti-microbial, anti-inflammatory, anti-allergic, immunomodulatory, detoxifier, antioxidant as well as anti-stress effects and therefore, play a key role in maintaining skin health.

Here’s a list of magic herbs in Purodil:

  • Neem, Khadira, Yashtimadhu are the blood purifiers that work in synergy against the infection. Khadira also has a cooling effect on the skin.

  • Manjishtha, Badh Chaal, Chirayata are anti-inflammatory agents that aid recovery from skin tissue damage as well as bacterial attack.

  • Chirayata, Giloe, Kalmegh together work as detoxifying agents which protect the skin from chemical and environmental toxins.

  • Neem and Giloe are adaptogenic, anti-stress factors , that break the vicious cycle of acne-stress-acne.

  • Arjun, Kalmegh, Haridra improve blood circulation and hence, the skin tone.

By ensuring rapid elimination of infection, the drug reduces dependence on synthetic antibiotics. It also lowers the chances of recurrence by boosting defense mechanism and slows aggravation. This is done by improving blood circulation that helps in nourishing and toning the skin. Antioxidants in Purodil retard the ageing of skin.

Purodil reflects the recognition of scientific validity of traditional claims regarding management of skin disorders, by herbs acting in synergism.
